Welcome back 153

Finally my scale is back to 153, the weight I was prior to leaving for my July 4th trip a few weeks ago. I had gained approximately 3 pounds because of the high sodium meals I ate due to being on the road all day. I came back and decided to grab the bulls by the horn; went right back to my work out and now everything is back in check.

I am also getting a lot stronger in my weight training. I am able to push myself more in my abs routines. I am just please with my overall success as I move forward.

Everyone is telling me how slim I look, however I don’t feel slim as yet. I know my body tends to lose inches quicker than actual weight so I am looking forward to my next measurement in August, to see if I have any new results. I do however have a pair of “tester jeans”, it is fitting better and better, but I look forward to the day, it doesn’t squeeze at all and it is perfectly comfortable.

13 pounds to go….the journey has slowed down considerably but I am getting stronger and healthier.

Hi Everyone, I am “the friend” that is talked about as the workout partner.

My friend here is a great motivator and she has the discipline that so many of us lack in this area.

However, as she said “working out” exercise or physical activity as I prefer to trick my brain as…needs to be a lifestyle. So she continues even when the scale may discourage.
    She does look great…Picture..picture .picture…lol

Well we will walk tomorrow…notice I said walk, not jog (smile). Though after further hurting my back at the gym this morning, I am wondering if it will be wise for the long run. What do you think?

Hello dear, thanks for visiting my blog. When we spoke lastnight, I adviced you if you are not in pain to try and walk, however if you are in pain to stay home and get some rest. Lastnight you were willing to walk this morning, but unfortunately you were not well this morning and had to stay in.

I suggest rest and rubbing you back with deep heat, or some type of heat treatment.

Hopefully you are well enough to go to the gym tomorrow.

It’s great to know that you are so motivated and that you are slowly reaching your goal. Often times we diet for the wrong reasons; mainly to loose weight rapidly. You seem to be not on a diet to loose weight but dieting for healthy living which is the underlying concept many of us miss!!

    Good job, keep it up.

Thanks, that is so true. I want to lose weight but deffinitely happy to be healthy. When we do it just to lose weight and dont grasp that it has to be a whole life style change, we quit quicker. Once you accept that their is a bigger picture, that involves losing the weight but understand its a long journey, and that getting healthy is the best prize of all, one tends to stick to it for life.
